Straightforward sound level measurements

Noise Partner is designed for simple broadband sound pressure level measurements and supports key outputs commonly needed for documentation, such as L_Aeq and L_Cpeak (depending on your setup). While measuring, you can attach pictures, text and voice notes, and videos to capture context. When the measurement is complete, transfer the data to the PC app (wirelessly or by USB) for storage, review, and reporting.

Get the job done: In the field and back in the office

Download the Noise Partner app from the App Store^® to your smartphone to wirelessly take control of the SLM. Place the sound level meter at the measurement position and connect to the mobile app via Wi‑Fi to run the test remotely, helping you to avoid disturbing the sound field.

In the office, the PC app accelerates analysis and reporting while giving you deeper insight into the data. Perform detailed review—including ‘what if’ adjustments—and generate reports aligned with relevant standards.

Task-focused Apps For Your SLM

The base application for B&K 2245 is Noise Partner. Other SLM applications would be installed on top of the base, providing you with a powerful multi-application SLM solution.

You can further extend your SLM capabilities with dedicated workflows for other measurement tasks:

• Work Noise Partner– evaluate workplace noise to ensure compliance with regulations and safeguard employee safety, including determining the need and level for hearing protection. The interface guides you through a full survey and requires minimal training to ensure valid and actionable data.
• Product Noise Partner– determine sound power emissions, or measure sound pressure levels, according to international standards for regulatory compliance, benchmarking and labelling. Full workflow support simplifies your task and minimizes the chance of errors.
• Enviro Noise Partner – perform community noise surveys and compliance-oriented spot checks to evaluate the impact of a noise source and how different sources contribute to the ambient noise at the measurement position.
