MX430B
A high-end 4-channel amplifier that delivers high‑precision measurements and real‑time data acquisition in a robust modular data acquisition platform for accurate strain gauge full‑bridge sensing.
The MX430B is a compact, high‑precision 4‑channel amplifier designed specifically for strain gauge full‑bridge transducers. It delivers exceptional accuracy, outstanding interference suppression, and seamless integration into the modular QuantumX data acquisition system making it ideal for both static and highly dynamic measurement tasks.
See the MX430B datasheet for a full list of features and specifications.
The MX430B captures physical quantities from full‑bridge strain gauge transducers by exciting the bridge (AC or DC) and converting the resulting mV/V signal into precise digital data. Its carrier-frequency excitation effectively suppresses electromagnetic and thermal interference, while DC excitation supports high‑dynamic applications up to 6 kHz bandwidth. The amplifier’s flexible excitation is available on each channel, enabling you to configure the channel according to sensor type or test scenario.
Its patented background calibration technology ensures long‑term stability during repetitive and long‑duration testing. And with its sturdy design that is both compact and lightweight, the MX430B is completely portable, allowing you to perform machine and sensor calibration tasks as well as field use.
With built-in TEDS support, which provides automatic transducer identification, and minimal wiring needs, the setup of tests is simplified. As part of the QuantumX family, the MX430B is fully compatible with other QuantumX modules for distributed setups and system scalability synchronized measurements provided by FireWire and Ethernet PTPv2 support.
Real-time integration into control systems is possible thanks to directly scalable voltage outputs (±10 V) with optional filter, an EtherCAT® connection using QuantumX Gateway CX27C, or via CAN using CAN FD Input/Output Module MX471C.
When combined with catman® software for data recording and data analysis, the MX430B forms a complete, high‑performance measurement chain from sensor to data.
MX430B can be purchased either stand-alone or as part of a software/hardware bundle:
All QuantumX modules are delivered with the latest firmware. For existing modules, it is easy to update the firmware by simply downloading the latest firmware package.
HBK also provides both native and third-party software packages and drivers allowing you to fully leverage the QuantumX ‘open’ data acquisition infrastructure for integration with a great number of operating, analysis and automation software. This includes:
