CX27C – High-performance Real-time Testing In a Multitude of Configurations

The QuantumX CX27C is a real-time gateway that connects QuantumX or Somat^XR measurement chains without sacrificing measurement integrity. It is particularly flexible due to its many data integration possibilities and support for up to 24 modules. CX27C enables time-synchronous analysis while simultaneously delivering up to 199 real-time signals to industrial networks, making it ideal when measurement and automation must run side by side.

Parallel operation available in all configurations

CX27C’s universal channels support the streaming of a wide variety of data using any sensor, with the measurement data collected using one or more connected measurement modules and catman^® Easy/AP software. With a single CX27C module in a system, you are assured high parallel data throughput owing to two signal paths. When you have multiple CX27C modules in one system, you can perform synchronized operation in parallel via EtherCAT + EtherCAT + PROFINET for test sample analysis and real-time automation.

Incredibly flexible system integration

Multiple gateways can be combined and synchronized, enabling scalable architectures across rigs and sites as well as integration via xCP-on-Ethernet into any calibration software. A wide range of synchronization options are available, including Ethernet IEEE1588:2008 PTPv2, NTP, and PROFINET IRT (isochronous real time).

For quick and easy integration into powerful QuantumX data acquisition systems, connectivity and timing features help ensure consistent, traceable results even in complex networked environments, with unique parallel operation of the four bus connections, for example:

• EtherCAT + Ethernet
• PROFINET + Ethernet
• EtherCAT + xCP-on-Ethernet
• EtherCAT + EtherCAT + PROFINET (requires multiple CX27Cs)
• xCP-over-Ethernet + CAN FD (requires a QuantumX MX840B or Somat^XR MX471C CAN FD module)

Stay connected with the latest firmware and software

All QuantumX modules are delivered with the latest firmware. For existing modules, it is easy to update the firmware by simply downloading the latest firmware package.

HBK also provides both native and third-party software packages and drivers allowing you to fully leverage the QuantumX ‘open’ data acquisition infrastructure for integration with a great number of operating, analysis and automation software. This includes:

• MX Assistant: a modern and free device or system assistant that supports all module functions
• catmanEasy / AP / Enterprise: The standard DAQ software used with the QuantumX platform
• Third-party drivers: For example, LabVIEW™, Visual Studio^® .NET and CANape^®
