Making everyone welcome at HBK

Championing diversity, inclusion, and belonging drives us day after day.

We are committed to nurturing an environment where everyone is supported to deliver their best work.

We're also proud that our engagement score* reflects this dedication to equality.

Our Diversity Council, chaired by our President and CEO Ben Bryson, leads our mission to make HBK a great place to work by being somewhere every colleague feels they belong.

8.5 out of 10 for equality in the November 2023 engagement survey

Our inclusion groups

HBK inclusion groups are each actively sponsored by a member of our executive leadership team. They provide a space for colleagues – members of a community and their allies – to come together providing dedicated support, expert advice, and development opportunities.

Our leaders work to champion awareness both within and beyond the company, cultivating relationships in order to:

  • Recruit and retain diverse talents
  • Foster cultural awareness and support employees from within the communities
  • Represent HBK externally through community outreach
  • Promote unity across the company by celebrating individuality and strengthening allyship

Parents@HBK

Parents@HBK is open to all types of parents: current, future, surrogate, foster, patchwork, or single. Anyone who is navigating any stage of parenthood is welcome.

The group facilitates mutual support for employees seeking to blend parental duties with their career demands and hosts regular discussions on relevant parenting topics.

LGBTQIA+

This inclusion group supports our LGBTQIA+ colleagues and promotes wider education. It reinforces our commitment to foster an inclusive space where our employees feel safe to speak and be heard.

Women@HBK

Women@HBK is dedicated to achieving company-wide gender equality,  and for 40% of senior managers and leaders to be female by 2027.

Our work actively champions the advancement of women within HBK and involves comprehensive training programmes, awareness drives, and the greater engagement . After all, a more inclusive environment can only enhance our competitive edge.

Advocates and Allies for Diversity and Inclusion (AADI)

Our pioneering group Advocates and Allies for Diversity and Inclusion (AADI) shapes and guides our efforts in DI&B. The group aims to create new ways to engage employees through cultural awareness and outreach activities. In particular, AADI complements the work of our other inclusion groups by supporting those communities that aren’t yet ready to establish their own group, making it a great place to start finding your place at HBK.

Early-stage careers (ESC)

Our ESC group provides a dedicated platform for early-career professionals to discuss challenges and opportunities and to lay the foundations for their future success. The group runs two or three ongoing initiatives with tangible actions, amplifying voices and building a strong network. It works to build from wider discussions around work to a clearer focus on initiatives that will make a real impact at HBK.

Later-stage careers

This inclusion group gives our more seasoned professionals space to explore the unique challenges and opportunities of late-career employment. As with the other groups, it provides a forum to craft strategies for mutual success and to overcome shared challenges, recognising that priorities may begin to change later in someone’s career.
