High-Channel-Count Transient Recorder and DAQ System

The Gen7tB is a powerful Genesis HighSpeed tethered mainframe designed for fixed and distributed test installations that require high channel density, reliable synchronization, and flexible system integration. Built on a robust Linux‑based architecture, it delivers the performance and reliability expected from a high‑end transient recorder and DAQ system.

As a tethered mainframe, Gen7tB is ideal for test benches, rack‑mounted systems, and distributed installations. It operates stand‑alone or connected to a PC via Ethernet and provides local data storage, ensuring dependable operation even in complex setups.

 

Secure recording of fast, non‑repeatable events

Gen7tB supports both continuous and transient acquisition modes, allowing measurement data to be streamed to a PC, written to internal or removable SSD storage, or buffered on high‑speed input card memory. This guarantees loss‑free recording of highly dynamic signals without throughput limitations.

 

Scalable and synchronized measurement systems

With PTPv2 time synchronization and an optional Master/Sync connection, Gen7tB can be synchronized with other Genesis HighSpeed mainframes, enabling precise, time‑aligned measurements across large multi‑mainframe systems.

Measurement description

Gen7tB is optimized for high‑speed electrical and mechanical measurements in both continuous and transient acquisition modes. Measurement data can be streamed in real time over Ethernet, stored locally on internal or removable SSDs, or captured directly in the acquisition cards’ high‑speed RAM to ensure loss‑free recording of fast, highly dynamic signal events. Precise time alignment is achieved through Ethernet‑based synchronization.
