Advantage Insights helps engineers to extract domain-specific engineering information from measurement data. It uses cloud native technology and can process a wide spectrum of data types with very high performance. 2025 R4 brings powerful new capabilities, including the AI-driven assistant Advanatge Aiana, advanced visualization components, and streamlined user interactions to make data analysis more efficient and intuitive. Correlation Matrix Node

A new Correlation Matrix node that calculates the correlation between pairs of columns. This node is designed to help you quickly identify relationships between channels.

Heatmap Visualisation

The new Heatmap visualization component brings powerful, color-coded insights to your data by graphically displaying matrix-style information. Perfect for correlation matrices with text-based axis labels, it also supports 3D histogram data from sources like the Joint Distribution and Cycle Counter nodes. With intuitive features such as Y-axis flipping and zoom-and-pan navigation, the Heatmap makes it easier than ever to explore and interpret complex data relationships.

Section Extraction Properties: Lead, Lag and Group Spacing

The Section Extraction node now includes three new properties to give you more control over how sections are defined:
- Group Spacing: Automatically separates two sections if there's a gap between them that meets or exceeds the specified value (in time or other X-units).
- Lead Window Size: Adds extra time before each detected section to include important lead-in data. If sections overlap, they are merged.
- Lag Window Size: Extends each section after its end to capture trailing data. Overlapping sections are also merged.

Speed Dial for Easy Visualization

The new Speed Dial feature enables quick access to visualization components when dragging a data file or display node element onto the dashboard. As soon as you release the mouse button, a list of available visualizations appears for selection. This feature streamlines dashboard setup by reducing the number of clicks required to add visualizations.

Speed Dial for Fast Node Connections

The new Speed Dial feature enables quick access to relevant nodes when connecting the output of an existing node. Click and drag from the node’s output connector to create a pipe. When you release the mouse button, a list of compatible destination nodes appears for selection. This feature improves efficiency by reducing the number of clicks required to build a network. Suggested nodes are contextually relevant to the source node.

Worked Examples for Section Extraction and Correlation Analysis

Additional Worked Example for Section Extraction shows the user how to extract sections of data based on any condition and how to process the sections downstream.
Additional Worked Example for Correlation Matrix shows the user how to get a table or a heatmap informing on the similarities across the various input channels.

Help and Documentation

Enhanced Help Documentation with GIFs

The help documentation is now enhanced with Graphics Interchange Format (GIFs) to make learning faster, clearer, and more engaging. These short, animated visuals demonstrate step-by-step actions — such as navigating menus or configuring settings — making it easier to follow along. By showing processes in motion, GIFs help you:

Understand tasks more quickly.
Troubleshoot efficiently, and
Retain information better.

They also streamline the documentation by replacing multiple static screenshots, resulting in a cleaner, more modern experience.

Additional Worked Examples

Two new Worked examples have been added to help you apply key features more effectively:

Extracting Sections based on Time or Channel Conditions - Learn how to use the Section Extraction node to isolate and analyze specific segments of time series data. This example shows how to extract data based on time intervals or channel conditions — such as identifying when a vehicle is braking.
Computing Correlation Matrix - Learn how to use the Correlation Matrix node with measured sensor data to analyze relationships between channels. It guides you through computing correlation coefficients, visualizing the results, and interpreting key patterns to support data-driven insights.
