The K-C2- is a proven industry standard for measuring compressive forces - ready to be configured in accordance with your needs

NEW: IO-Link option with integrated amplifer.

Find bellow some explanations to our options.

Capacity

The sensor is available in measurement ranges from 500 N to 200 kN.

Electrical connection

The standard version of the C2 is supplied with the following cable lengths:

  • Capacities 500 N - 10 kN with 3 m (03M0)
  • Capacities 20 kN - 50 kN with 6 m (06M0)
  • Capacities 100 kN - 200 kN with 12 m (12M0)

All available cable lengths are 1 m (01M0), 3 m (03M0), 6 m (06M0), 12 m (12M0) or 20 m (20M0) and can be selected for each capacity. In addition to the fixed cables, you can also choose an M12 8-pin connector (00A8) or an M12 4-pin connector (00A4) mounted directly on the sensor. Passive sensors (sensors without integrated amplifier) are available with all types of cable or M12 8-pin connector. M12 4-pin connectors (IO-Link output) and M12 8-pin connectors (current and voltage output) are available for active sensors (sensors with integrated amplifier).

Transducer identification

You can order your sensor with a “Transducer Electronic Data Sheet”, TEDS (T). In this case, your sensor is equipped with an electronic memory that is programmed with the technical characteristics of the sensor. If the sensor is connected to an instrument with TEDS 0-wire functionality, for example, HBK's Quantum models or the ClipX modules, the instrument will read out the specific data and the setup process will run automatically.

NOTE: TEDS is only available for sensors without an integrated amplifier module.

Plug version for the fixed mounted cables

If requested, we can mount one of the following connectors on the C2:

  • Y = Free ends, no plug assembly
  • F = D-sub, 15-pin, for connecting to MGC+ (e.g. AP01) or Scout amplifiers
  • Q = D-sub-HD, 15-pin, for connecting to many HBK signal conditioners in the Quantum series (MX410, MX440, MX840, MX430, MX238)
  • N = MS plug, for connecting to HBK signal conditioner, such as MGC+ (AP03), DMP or DK38
  • P = CON P1016 plug, for connecting to the SomatXR series devices
  • M = M12-plug, 8-pin, for connecting to the digiBOX and DSE measuring amplifiers
  • X = No cable

Integrated amplifier

The standard C2 force transducers are passive (mV/V) sensors (N). On request, the C2 can be ordered with an integrated amplifier whose output is 0 … 10 V (VA1), 4 … 20 mA (VA2) or digital with IO-Link interface (VAIO). After connected to an IO – Link master, the device sends correct measurement values in Newton. If you order your C2 with an integrated amplifier, the C2 comes along as calibrated measurement chain.

NOTE: You must select M12 connector for the electrical connection. TEDS is not required, so that you cannot order this option in combination with an integrated amplifier.

Firmware version

If you order a C2 with an integrated amplifier, you will get the latest firmware version, unless you choose an older version that is still available.
