SensorConnect is the next generation in desktop sensing software.
From configuration of nodes and starting networks, to collecting and analyzing data in real-time, SensorConnect provides a modern, powerful experience with our Wireless, Inertial, and Displacement products.
Using our intelligent data collection and graphing algorithms, you are able to visualize massive amounts of data instantly, and then zoom in on points of interest just as fast.
Built in MathEngine functionality allows for both real-time and post-processed math, such as generating FFTs, averages, RMS, etc.
SensorCloud is a unique sensor data storage, visualization, and remote management platform that leverages powerful Cloud computing technologies to provide excellent data scalability, rapid visualization, and user programmable analysis.
MicroStrain sensors can instantly upload their data to SensorCloud via an ethernet-connected WSDA-2000. Once uploaded, your data is securely stored in the Cloud and can be accessed from anywhere, or downloaded for offline use.
Configurable alerts can be set to help notify you of real-time event in your data.
MathEngine allows you to perform analytics on your data, all in the Cloud. Pre-built functions are available for ease of use, while IPython Notebooks allow advanced users to write custom scripts to be run on their data once, or on a schedule.
The MicroStrain Communication Library (MSCL) makes it simple to write code that interacts with our Wireless, Inertial, and Displacement sensors.
MSCL is completely open source and hosted on GitHub under the MIT license.
Full documentation, example code, and a quick start guide are provided to help you get started.
Available for C++, Python, and .NET.
The G-Link-200 battery lifetime calculator predicts how long your wireless accelerometer will run based on your specific sampling settings and usage patterns. Optimize your sensor deployment and plan maintenance schedules with confidence with this tool.
The G-Link-200 is a battery-powered wireless 3-axis accelerometer. It features a rugged, weatherproof IP67-rated enclosure and provides extremely low-noise waveform data ideal for vibration monitoring, impact detection, motion analysis, and tilt measurements. The device uses the proprietary LXRS protocol for lossless wireless data transmission in scalable sensor networks.
The G-Link-200 combines several unique features: lossless LXRS protocol ensuring 100% reliable data transmission, extremely low noise density (80 µg/√Hz), weatherproof IP67 enclosure, up to 1km wireless range, microsecond time synchronization (±50 µs), and the ability to output both raw acceleration data and derived vibration parameters for extended battery life and reduced data volumes.
LXRS (Lossless eXtended Range Synchronized) is MicroStrain's proprietary wireless protocol that combines 100% reliable data transmission with microsecond time synchronization across scalable networks. Unlike standard wireless protocols, LXRS uses acknowledgments and retransmissions to ensure no data loss, while maintaining precise timing synchronization of ±50 µs across thousands of nodes.
The G-Link-200 achieves up to 1km wireless range in line-of-sight conditions using 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4 compliant radio. The LXRS protocol enables scalable star networks supporting many nodes on a single gateway, with automatic coordination of sampling rates and guaranteed lossless data delivery through acknowledgments and retransmissions.
The IP67 rating means the G-Link-200 is completely dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes. This weatherproof protection makes it suitable for outdoor installations, industrial environments, and applications where moisture, dust, or temporary submersion may occur.
The G-Link-200 features a stainless steel base with a ¼-28 UNF mounting hole for rigid attachment. Optional magnetic base mounting is available for easy temporary installation on ferrous surfaces. Proper mounting is critical for accurate vibration coupling and measurement fidelity.
The G-Link-200 supports both protocols depending on the gateway used:
The G-Link-200 supports multiple sophisticated sampling modes:
The G-Link-200 provides multiple data output options:
The G-Link-200 excels in demanding wireless sensing applications including:
Battery life varies significantly based on sampling rate, transmission frequency, and operating mode. We provide a battery life calculator tool that predicts runtime based on specific sampling settings and usage patterns. Typical configurations can achieve months to years of operation, with derived parameter modes significantly extending battery life compared to continuous raw data transmission.
The G-Link-200 significantly reduces total cost of ownership through: elimination of cable installation costs and labor, reduced installation time, ability to monitor rotating and moving machinery, minimal maintenance requirements with long battery life, scalable networks without additional wiring, and remote monitoring capabilities reducing site visits. The wireless approach often pays for itself through installation savings alone.
