Ensure Minimal Measurement Uncertainty- What You Need to Know about Setting up Reference Measurement Chains for the Calibration of Mechanical Quantities

The scope of the webinar is the measurement of the quantities force, torque, pressure and acceleration. According to a recent survey of Frost & Sullivan, the calibration of mechanical quantities is a promising growth field for the foreseeable future.

A reference measurement chain consists of a reference transducer and a precision amplifier. In order to reach a certain measurement uncertainty (MU) for the whole measurement chain, the right components do not only have to be implemented, they must also be calibrated regularly.

The webinar provides a general introduction to reference transducers and precision amplifiers including recommendations on measurement uncertainty.

Learn more about:

  • Choosing the right elements for force, torque, pressure and vibration;
  • The choice of high precision amplifiers, emphasizing DMP41, the world ‘s most accurate amplifier for strain-gauge based measurements;
  • How to set up a high precision measuring chain, and how to find out about its measurement uncertainty?
  • Setting up calibration systems?
  • Frequent problems and possible solutions to them.
