Use case: Rotary controls haptic testing

Haptic testing evaluates tactile feedback and mechanical properties of rotary knobs, switches, and dials to ensure satisfying user experiences.

These tests are crucial in industries like automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial controls, where tactile feel can define product quality.

The T210 supports:

  1. Torque measurement to assess rotation smoothness and consistency
  2. Torque feedback to precisely calibrate  resistance and tactile response
  3. Repeatability testing for long-term durability and performance

Use case: small electric motor testing

Torque sensors are vital in end-of-line testing of small electric motors, ensuring quality control and product performance with every test.

The T210 helps you:

  1. Verify performance under real load conditions, ensuring the motor meets  performance specifications across various operating conditions
  2. Detect faults or deviations that could impact the motor’s performance, whether they are caused by defective components, or wear and tear
  3. Measure output power to calculate motor efficiency, optimising the engine design while ensuring efficient operation
  4. Efficiently collect motor performance data for further analysis and design validation,  combining torque sensors in advanced test benches with data acquisition systems

The background is soft and blurred, focusing attention on the lifelike details of the motor and the skin texture. The motor reveals fine copper coils, metallic parts, and precise mechanical features. Side lighting casts realistic shadows and highlights surface textures. Ultra-detailed, photorealistic style.

Now with IO-Link: smarter integration into your automation systems

The T210 now includes optional IO-Link for digital, bidirectional communication using standard 3-wire M12 cables. Connect quickly and easily with an IO-Link Master into fieldbus systems like EtherCAT and Profinet, or cloud platforms.

Understand your testing process like never before

The T210 uses IO-Link to deliver extensive real-time process, diagnostic, and statistical data directly to your IT-level applications.

  • Rigid connections are not able to compensate for any misalignment
  • Highly precise alignment on the rigid coupled part side is needed to minimise bending moments introduced into the shaft.
Keep lenght as short as possible.
  • Consider reduced bearing lifetime
