Determine noise exposure accurately and easily

Work Noise Partner supports occupational noise exposure assessment by structuring measurements around real workplace scenarios. The goal is to ensure compliance with regulations and safeguard employee safety, including determining the need and level for hearing protection.

The interface guides you through a full survey and requires minimal training to ensure valid and actionable data. You capture levels for each task or job with the SLM, group them into exposure groups, then assign task durations to calculate a full-shift (workday) exposure and dose in accordance with ISO 9612. All measurement context including photos, notes, voice notes, and video can be stored with the dataset.

Get the job done: In the field and back in the office

Download the Work Noise Partner app from the App Store^® to your smartphone to wirelessly take control of the SLM. Place the sound level meter at the measurement position and connect to the mobile app via Wi‑Fi^® to run the test remotely, helping you to avoid disturbing the sound field.

In the office, the PC app accelerates analysis and reporting while giving you deeper insight into the data. When the survey is complete, transfer the project to the PC app (wirelessly or via USB) to review calculations, combine optional Type 4448 dosimeter data, and generate formatted reports or Excel exports aligned with relevant standards.

Task-focused Apps For Your SLM

The base application for HBK 2255 is Noise Partner, a general noise measurement app. Work Noise Partner would be installed on top of the base, providing you with a powerful multi-application SLM solution.

You can further extend your SLM capabilities with dedicated workflows for other measurement tasks:

• Enviro Noise Partner – perform community noise surveys and compliance-oriented spot checks to evaluate the impact of a noise source and how different sources contribute to the ambient noise at the measurement position.
• Product Noise Partner – determine sound power emissions, or measure sound pressure levels, according to international standards for regulatory compliance, benchmarking and labelling. Full workflow support simplifies your task and minimizes the chance of errors.

Each software license is installed on the SLM. The SLM license automatically enables connection to the smartphone and desktop app versions, which are free to download!
