B&K 2245 is HBK’s entry-level sound level meter that is easy to use, affordable – and highly functional. It is perfect both for measurements requiring IEC61672 compliance (class 1) and general noise measurements.
B&K 2245 is a task-tailored, IEC 61672-1 class 1 sound level meter (SLM) that delivers confident results with a workflow designed for the real world. Use it as a stand-alone instrument in the field, or connect seamlessly to mobile apps and PC software to enable remote measurement control and display, capture rich context like photos and video, and streamline reporting.
B&K 2245 supports broadband sound level measurements with two simultaneous frequency weightings, plus 1/1- and/or 1/3-octave band frequency analysis (for one weighting) to help identify dominant noise sources. You can log parameters at intervals from 1 second to 1 minute, compute spectral and broadband statistics (including five percentiles), and store the full level distribution for later recalculation in HBK apps.
Additional measurement features depend on your installed software licenses.
B&K 2245 is designed from the ground up to support both iOS and Android™ apps. This enables us to add new features and updates without the need to update the sound level meter. If you need to create and share analysis and reports, data can be quickly and easily transferred from B&K 2245 to your PC and organized intuitively, ready for post-processing using preconfigured, user-friendly tools. This includes automatic measurement transfer to network or USB storage media for documentation and traceability.
For system integrators, a powerful open interface, which allows you to control the instrument and stream data using other systems, is available via the Open Interface for B&K 2245 and HBK 2255 license that is included with all hardware + software bundles.
The B&K 2245 platform is designed to offer a solid and extremely capable sound level meter in cost-efficient configurations. Each model is a bundle consisting of hardware + a software license, allowing you to simply select a bundle that fits your measurement needs.
The software licences, which are installed on the instrument, automatically enable connection to the various smartphone and desktop apps – and the app versions are free to download.
