BMX60: Digital measurement in various networks

The BMX60 digital interface module is extremely fast and ideal for highly dynamic applications. It measures Frequencies and Encoders and integrates torque and speed measurements into higher-level automation and control systems in production and/ or for test benches. With this digital, two-channel measurement amplifier, measured values – for example from torque transducers of the T10/12/40 and T210 series – it can transmit the measurement simultaneously in two separate networks: Real-Time fieldbuses (OT) and (IT) – MQTT, openDAQ, and Rest-API (SDK).

Key features:

  • Accuracy class: 0.01
  • Measurements:

1. Channel frequencies up to 1 MHz (TMC support)

2. Channel two-track encoder w/wo zero-signal

  • Sample and streaming rate: 40 kHz per signal

Advantages of BMX60:

Precise

  • High accuracy of 0.01% in data transmission
  • Dual range: linearization for full and partial range measurement
  • High dynamics for maximum measurement rates on the fieldbus side of up to 2 kHz in Fieldbus networks

Extreme measurement accuracy thanks to capacity in different measurement ranges.

Quick to deploy

  • Diagnosis of the measurement process
  • Integrated web server with signal line-writer

Simple configuration without additional software enables quick system integration.

Flexible

  • Simultaneous transmission of torque and speed measurements to different networks possible for IT and OT applications.
  • Torque signal: Features a TMC (Torque Measurement Communication) digital interface and input for frequency signals.
  • Speed signal: It is possible to connect both the integrated speed measurement system of the HBK torque transducers and external speed sensors

Reliable measurement data with the highest quality and resolution.

Engineering Benefits

The BMX60 reduces hardware requirements, integration effort, and system complexity while ensuring deterministic real-time performance. At the same time, it provides high-resolution data for analysis and monitoring, supporting efficient and future-proof system design.

Conclusion

The BMX60 delivers a compact and powerful solution for torque measurement applications by combining precision, performance, and connectivity in a single device.
