K-WA-T+: Inductive Displacement Measurement Device with Compact, Probe-type Design - ready to be configured in accordance with your needs

Measuring range

The WA-T+ is available in five different measuring ranges: 0...2 mm (002W), 0...10 mm (010W), 0...20 mm (020W), 0...50 mm (050W) and 0...100 mm (100W).

Cable length

The standard version is supplied with a 3-meter cable (03M0). Additionally, the displacement transducer is available with the following cable lengths: 1 m (01M0), 6 m (06M0), 10 m (10M0) and 12 m (12M0).

Transducer identification

You can order the sensor with a TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) chip for transducer identification. TEDS allows you to store the transducer data (characteristic values) in a chip that can be read by a connected measuring device (with an appropriate amplifier).  HBK records the TEDS data at the time of delivery, so no amplifier parameterization is necessary.

NOTE: TEDS chips are not available for sensors with amplifier modules or variants without a connector. Standard delivery does not include a TEDS chip.

Electrical connection to sensor

  • 31K = Pressure-resistant, permanently connected cable, thread M20x1.5
  • 32K = Permanently connected cable, 90°
  • 33K = Permanently connected cable, 0°
  • 31S = Pressure-resistant plug connection (LEMO), thread M20x1.5
  • 32S = Plug connection (LEMO), 90°
  • 33S = Plug connection (LEMO), 0°

The standard version (32K) has a permanently connected cable, that exits the sensor at 90°.

Electrical connection to end of cable

We can mount a plug or a amplifier module on the end of the cable upon request.

  • Y = Free ends, no amplifier
  • F = 15-pin D-sub connector, for connecting to MGC+, Scout, MP85, and other HBK amplifiers
  • Q = 15-pin D-sub-HD connector, for connecting to many HBK signal conditioners in the Quantum series (MX440, MX840, )
  • P = 14-pin ODU connector, degree of protection IP68, for connecting to all HBK amplifiers of the Somat XR series that are suitable for measuring full bridge circuits
  • VA1 = With inline amplifier 0 … 10 V
  • VA2 = With inline amplifier 4 … 20 mA
  • VAIO = With inline amplifier IO-Link (digital output)

Linearity deviation

Standard is 0.2%. We can deliver WA-T sensors with a restricted linearity deviation of 0.1% upon request. Please note: With Inline amplifier you will always get 0.1 % linearity deviation (A).

  • 2 = Linearity deviation 0.2%
  • 1 = Linearity deviation 0.1% (high accuracy)
  • A = Linearity deviation 0.1% with VA1, VA2, VAIO

Operating temperature range

In the standard version, you can use the sensor in an operating temperature range of -25°C to +80°C.

  • ST = -25 °C – +80°C
  • HT =  -30 °C – +150 °C
  • LT = -40 °C – +80 °C

Firmware version

If you order a WA-T+ with the VAIO option, you will get the latest firmware version, unless you choose an older version that is still available.

  • N = No firmware
  • IW01 = Firmware version 2.0.2
