WI Miniature Displacement Sensors: Precise Measurement in the Tightest Spaces

WI displacement sensors use proven inductive bridge technology to deliver accurate and reliable measurements. The spring-loaded probe pin ensures continuous contact with the measurement object, while the extremely compact design – with a shaft diameter of just 8 mm – allows installation in confined spaces.

A wide range of options, including an IO-Link interface and various cable lengths, enables WI transducers to be easily adapted to specific measurement tasks, thereby reducing integration time and costs.

NEW: Configuration options and inline amplifier available

  • Custom cable lengths
  • Pre-mounted connectors
  • In-line amplifier options with 4 – 20 mA or 0 – 10 V outputs
  • IO-Link digital interface

Configure your WI Sensor here.

Key features:

  • HBK accuracy class: 0.2
  • Measurement ranges: 2 mm, 5 mm, 10 mm
  • Output signals: mV/V (passive), 0 – 10 V, 4 – 20 mA or IO-Link

Adaptable to your measurement task

  • Available with three commonly used measuring ranges
  • Available with various cable lengths and pre-mounted plug connectors to simplify installation and reduce mounting time
  • Optional inline amplifier with industry-standard outputs: 0 – 10 V, 4 – 20 mA or IO-Link

Save time and reduce costs: Flexible integration options eliminate the need for time-consuming soldering, while the IO-Link version provides measurement values directly in mm immediately after connection to an IO-Link master.

Compact and lightweight

  • Shaft diameter of just 8 mm
  • Overall lengths from 66 mm to 95 mm, depending on the measurement range
  • Sensor weight between 12 g and 20 g, depending on the measurement range
  • Moving mass from 4.25 g to 5.5 g, depending on the measuring range.
  • Optional mounting blocks for easy installation

Reliable displacement measurements can be performed even in confined spaces and applications with minimal mounting clearance.

Economical, reliable and robust

  • Protection class IP67
  • Corrosion-resistant material
  • High immunity to EMC influence
  • Enhanced EMC performance when combined with the inline amplifier option
  • Measurement insert according to DIN 878 with 1/8-inch carbide ball tip
  • High shock resistance tested in accordance with the IEC standards

WI sensors provide reliable displacement measurements across countless industrial, automation, and testing applications – even in harsh operating environments.
