2 cc Click-on Coupler Type 4946 is a versatile artificial ear designed for electroacoustic measurements on all types of hearing aids.
Developed for both laboratory and production environments, it combines standards-compliant performance with features that simplify workflows, reduce setup time and protect valuable measurement equipment.
The innovative click-on adapter system enables rapid switching between hearing aid configurations, while the rugged design supports repetitive use in quality-control, verification and research applications.
Type 4946 complies with ANSI S3.7 and IEC 60318-5 standards, ensuring reliable and comparable measurement results.
Type 4946 provides a standardized 2 cc acoustic coupler volume for measuring hearing-aid frequency response, sensitivity and distortion.
The coupler accommodates a wide range of hearing aid styles through interchangeable click-on ear-mould simulators, ensuring correct and repeatable positioning during testing.
The self-centering microphone design and controlled acoustic volume help maintain measurement consistency, while the protected microphone arrangement minimizes handling risks during frequent device changes.
