Structural health monitoring of wind turbines: Monitoring systems for rotor blades, towers and foundations

Wind turbines must withstand extreme mechanical stress during their long service life. Various structural health monitoring methods allow to detect defects in wind turbines at an early stage and thus to minimize downtime and enhance availability. Miscellaneous systems are used for practical monitoring of wind turbines, with a focus on different components. In this webinar we will consider in greater detail the challenges and properties of the following systems:
  • Structural health monitoring (SHM) of rotor blades
  • Structural health monitoring (SHM) of structural components, i.e. foundations and towers
