Efficient Testing for the Aerospace Industry

Fusion MX is built to support modern full-scale static & fatigue testing with a flexible, future-ready architecture that adapts to changing programme needs. Combining robust hardware, efficient setup, and open interoperability, the platform helps test teams capture structural and thermal data with confidence – from stand-alone measurements to full-scale integrated systems.

Designed for structural integrity applications

  • Full-scale testing of fuselages, space vehicles, wings, and other tests requiring extremely high-channel counts
  • Component testing
  • Fatigue testing
  • Durability testing
  • Temperature testing

Flexibility and workflow efficiency in a scalable platform

Fusion MX’s data acquisition platform gives engineering teams the freedom to scale their test setup to match their needs – from a single device to a large distributed system – with the same level of precision and stability. The Fusion MX platform integrates smoothly into the wider HBK ecosystem, with guaranteed interoperability with both Fusion RX and QuantumX DAQ modules and systems, for expanded mechanical and structural measurement and recording capabilities.

Together with Advantage Connect data acquisition software, you achieve a flexible and efficient total system with automated setup, streamlined testing and analysis, reliable results and complete data traceability – enabling you to make the most of your resources and test time and ensuring a clear return on investment.

Alternatively, take advantage of HBK’s openDAQ™ interface, which enables you to set up, control and record measurements using popular programming environments such as C++, C#, Python®, and LabVIEW™. openDAQ is designed to work across various operating systems including Linux®, Windows®, and macOS®, making it accessible from any host PC.

Available modules

  • 1-B401-48: A high-density bridge amplifier with a 48-channel blade (module front panel) supporting quarter-, half- and full-bridge strain gauges, resistive (piezo and MEMS) full-bridge sensors, resistive half-bridge potentiometers, voltage transducers, and Pt100, Pt500, and Pt1000 temperature sensors
  • 1-B501-40: A dedicated thermocouple measurement module with a 40-channel blade (module front panel) supporting thermocouple types K, J, T, E, N, C, S and R

Purpose‑Built for Full‑Scale Testing

  • Designed specifically for full‑scale structural and fatigue durability testing.
  • Optimized for the majority of sensor inputs in durability testing, with dedicated support for strain gauges (48 channels/blade) and thermocouples (40 channels/blade).

Flexible Deployment

  • Easily deployable as a standalone unit, in small desktop racks, or integrated into large, full-rack systems.

High Channel Density

  • A compact 1U, 19-inch form factor that maximizes channel count in a small footprint.

Seamless Ecosystem Integration

  • Fully compatible with other HBK products like Fusion RX and QuantumX, and software such as catman and Advantage Connect.
  • Features the openDAQ protocol for seamless interoperability with customized and third-party systems.
