WA-L

Combining rugged construction with outstanding measurement accuracy, the WA-L series displacement transducers with loose plunger are ideal for demanding monitoring and position measurement applications. They are widely used in civil engineering and industrial environments, while pressure-resistant versions also enable reliable operation in hydraulic systems. With measurement ranges of up to 500 mm, the WA-L series provides the flexibility and precision required for a wide range of applications.

WA-L: Robust, compact displacement measurement up to 500 mm

The proven WA-L inductive displacement transducers deliver precise and reliable displacement measurement in an exceptionally compact design. The compact dimensions are the result of a quarter-bridge circuit based on the differential inductive bridge principle. The bridge is completed within the sensor to form a full bridge circuit, enabling straightforward connection to a bridge amplifier.

Built for demanding industrial environments, WA-L sensors are hermetically sealed to protect against dirt and contamination. Combined with rugged mechanics, excellent temperature stability, and proven long-term performance, they provide dependable measurements even under challenging operating conditions.

New: Inline amplifier options available. Choose from:

  • 4 – 20 mA current output
  • 0 – 10 V voltage output
  • IO-Link digital interface

Key features:

  • HBK accuracy class: 0.2
  • Accuracy class 0.1 for versions with inline amplifier
  • Measurement range: From 2 mm – 500 mm
  • Output signals: mV/V (passive), 0 –10 V, 4 – 20 mA or IO-Link

Choose the interface that best suits your application. In addition to passive mV/V output, WA-L sensors can be supplied with integrated voltage, current, or IO-Link outputs for simplified installation and improved measurement performance.

  • Minimized linearity error of 0.1%, if an inline amplifier option is chosen.
  • Digital version with IO Link interface includes peak detection, Bessel and Butterworth filters, limit switches and a digital output
  • Delivered as a calibrated measurement chain, just connect and start the measurement
  • Immediate measurement values in millimetres when connected to an IO-Link master
  • With IO-Link: As soon as connected to an IO-Link master correct readings in mm available
  • With IO-Link: Lower installation and operating costs through faster mounting, no parameterisation required, and reduced cabling costs
