Typ 4944 ist ein vorpolarisiertes 1/2" Druckfeldmikrofon, das für Messungen mit hohem Pegel und hoher Frequenz in einem Frequenzbereich von 4 Hz bis 70 kHz entwickelt wurde.

Das vorpolarisierte 1/4" Druckfeldmikrofon Typ 4944 wurde speziell für Messungen mit hohem Pegel und hoher Frequenz entwickelt. Durch die Verwendung neuer Materialien und eine neue Art der Membranbefestigung ist das Mikrofon so ausgerichtet, dass es rauer Handhabung standhält. Die Montage des Mikrofons in einer Reinraumumgebung stellt sicher, dass das Mikrofon in Umgebungen mit hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit verwendet werden kann und dennoch zuverlässige Ergebnisse liefert. Der Typ 4944 kann zusammen mit Schallpegelmessern verwendet werden, um hohe Schalldruckpegel zu messen.

The shape of the microphone front ensures excellent microphone performance when flush-mounted. The laser-welded diaphragm on the microphone housing ensures that the sensitivity is resistant to rough handling during flush mounting.
The microphone is supplied with a mini-CD. This mini-CD carries all individual calibration data as well as random-incidence and free-field corrections. The influence of ¼-inch Nose Cone UA-0385 is also available.
The sensitivity can be calibrated at 250 Hz using Pistonphone Type 4228 with ¼-inch adaptor DP-0775. The pressure-field response can be measured using Actuator UA-0033 with Adaptor DB-0264. The pressure-field response is equal to the actuator response.
