C2 can be found in production surrounding, e.g. for the measurement of joining forces or press force monitoring. C2's are also very suitable for fast measurements in experiments or validation tests.

C2 Force Sensor: Reliable Compressive Force Measurement

The C2 force sensor, tried and tested over a long time, is a diaphragm sensor – a design that is very well-suited for fast measurements. This sensor, with integrated lateral force compensation, works safely even in the event of lateral forces or non-centric force application.

HBK has re-engineered the C2 series sensors for compressive force measurement to enable quick and optimized response to spare parts requirements and new designs. Different cable lengths, mounted plugs and TEDS are available, allowing for more efficient installation. In addition to the well-known passive versions of the force sensor, optional versions are now also available featuring integrated electronics, while external dimensions remain unchanged. 

  • HBK accuracy class: Up to 0.1 (0.5 kN: 0.2)
  • Capacities: 0.5 kN to 200 kN
  • Output: mV/V (passive, Wheatstone bridge), 0...10 V, 4...20 mA or IO-Link

 

New: With the new option "VAIO", the C2 comes along with an integrated digital amplifier. Your advantages:

  • Greater precision: Linearity error 0.03 %, TC0: 0.03 % / 10 K.
  • Improved reliability: The Sensor Health monitoring of the C2 sends warnings in case of exceeding temperature or mechanical limits before problems occur.
  • More information: Temperature measurement, statistical information.
  • Lower costs, easy setup: The C2 with the VAIO option comes along as adjusted sensor. When connected to an IO-Link master, you will get immediately precise readings in Newton. Low cabling costs. 
  • Standard instrument features: Limit switches, peak detection, digital output, filter.
  • Fast: Internal sampling rate: 40 kHz, 0.9 ms cycling time to the IO-Link master.
