The Nova GNSS/INS Development Platform is a fully integrated GNSS/INS solution from MicroStrain by HBK. It combines the 3DM-CX7-INS tactical-grade inertial navigation system with Septentrio's mosaic-G5 P3H GNSS receiver, delivering quad-frequency multi-constellation GNSS, dual-antenna heading, and RTK centimeter-level positioning in a single development-ready platform.

At its core, the 3DM-CV7-INS brings a tactical-grade IMU with 2.1°/h gyro bias instability and MicroStrain's auto-adaptive Extended Kalman Filter, maintaining stable and continuous position, velocity, and attitude estimation even when GNSS signals are unavailable or unreliable. The Septentrio mosaic-G5 P3H receiver adds 789-channel multi-constellation tracking across GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS, along with Septentrio's full suite of GNSS+ signal integrity technologies including AIM+ jamming and spoofing detection, LOCK+ shock and vibration tracking robustness, APME+ multipath mitigation, IONO+ ionospheric disturbance protection, and RAIM+ receiver autonomous integrity monitoring.

Nova gives developers greater flexibility in GNSS receiver selection and alleviates integration concerns for defense and government programs with specific supplier requirements. With native Septentrio Binary Format (SBF) protocol support, Nova pairs seamlessly with other Septentrio receivers for consistent, scalable solutions across a program.

Key specifications include RTK accuracy down to 0.6 cm + 0.5 ppm horizontal, dual-antenna heading accuracy down to 0.15° at 1 m antenna separation, 0.25° pitch and roll accuracy, and output rates up to 1 kHz. The platform measures 95.3 mm x 50.8 mm x 17 mm and operates across -40°C to 85°C. Nova is NDAA compliant, ITAR free, ROS ready, and PX4 compatible, and is available as a standalone platform or in ground and aerial starter kits with antennas included.
