Type 4944 is a ¼-inch Prepolarized Pressure-field Microphone designed for high-level and high-frequency measurements over a frequency range of 4 Hz To 70 kHz.

Prepolarized ¼″ Pressure-field Microphone Type 4944 is specially designed for high-level and high-frequency measurements. By using new materials and a new way of mounting the diaphragm, the microphone is geared to withstand rough handling. The assembly of the microphone in a clean room environment ensures that the microphone can be used in high-humidity environments and still produce reliable results. Type 4944 can be used with sound level meters to measure high sound pressure levels

La forma de la parte frontal del micrófono garantiza un rendimiento excelente cuando se instala empotrado. El diafragma soldado con láser en la carcasa del micrófono garantiza que la sensibilidad sea resistente a un manejo brusco durante el montaje empotrado.
El micrófono se suministra con un mini-CD. Este mini CD contiene todos los datos de calibración individuales, así como correcciones de incidencia aleatoria y Campo libre. También está disponible la corrección correspondiente a la influencia del cono de nariz de ¼ de pulgada UA-0385.
La sensibilidad se puede calibrar a 250 Hz utilizando el pistófono Tipo 4228 con el adaptador de ¼ de pulgada DP-0775. La respuesta del campo de presión se puede medir utilizando el actuador UA-0033 con el adaptador DB-0264. La respuesta del campo de presión es igual a la respuesta del actuador.
