El hidrófono en miniatura Modelo 8103 es un instrumento de pequeño tamaño y alta sensibilidad, idóneo para medidas absolutas de sonido en un rango de frecuencia comprendido entre 0,1 Hz y 180 kHz, y con una sensibilidad de recepción de -211 dB re 1V/μPa. Por su elevada sensibilidad y sus excelentes características generales, es muy adecuado para aplicaciones de laboratorio, industriales y educativas.
La respuesta de alta frecuencia de este hidrófono resulta especialmente útil en los estudios acústicos de animales marinos y para medir patrones de distribución de la presión en baños de limpieza por ultrasonidos.
