An inertial measurement unit (IMU) is a device that integrates multi-axes, accelerometers, gyroscopes, and other sensors to provide estimation of an objects orientation in space. Measurements of acceleration, angular rate, and attitude are typical data outputs. MicroStrain’s IMU inertial sensors are commonly used in robot dynamic motion and terrain compensation, payload platform stabilization, and antenna and camera pointing applications.

Our Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) include direct measurement of acceleration and angular rate, are fully temperature-compensated and calibrated over the operating temperature and use MEMS gyro and accelerometer technology to create highly accurate, small, lightweight devices. Available options for different performance levels and packaging enable you to select the right sensor for a wide range of applications, including construction and Agricultural vehicles, UGVs and robotics.
Our high performance industrial grade IMU sensors can be used in off highway inclinometer and mobile robot applications that require dynamic roll/pitch accuracy, low sensitivity to vibration and temperature, and low latency.
Precise and robust in challenging environments, Microstrain’s high performance, industrial grade OEM IMU sensors provide accurate and reliable data, processing multiple degrees of freedom in highly complex applications. Microstrain OEM sensors offer the option of a smaller, lighter and affordable solution in customer preferred packaging and board design.
