MXFS BraggMETER Interrogator Module
8-connector FiberSensing module of the QuantumX family
with slow scanning rates.
For Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors and
transducers including strain, force, temperature,
acceleration, tilt or displacement.
The following applies for each optical connector:
- Max. number of channels per connector: 64;
- Selectable scanning rates at 10 S/s or 1S/s
(all channels simultaneously);
- Connector type: SC/APC.
General connections:
- 2 x Ethernet supporting PTPv2 (RJ45);
- 2 x FireWire and backplane connector;
- Voltage supply: 10...30 V DC, max. 24 W (ODU).
Includes catman Easy software license and
maintenance for 12 months.
Excludes power adapters and connecting cables,
to be ordered separately.

QuantumX MXFS: Integrating Optical and Electrical Measurements into One Reliable System

QuantumX MXFS makes optical measurements easy, flexible and competitive – according to your needs. It provides you with all the optical benefits of the BraggMETER technology: suitable for measuring large sensing networks composed of various types of sensors, high strain and high resistance to fatigue, reliable and high-quality long-distance measurements, reduced cost and many more.

With the MXFS BraggMETER modules, tens of Fiber Bragg Grating sensors can be connected in series to each of the eight optical connectors – with parallel acquisition. The new fiber optic sensing device offers, therefore, hundreds of  channels per module with simultaneous acquisition. Measurement capacity can effortlessly multiplied by synchronizing multiple devices.
Your benefits are obvious: a cost reduction not only per measuring point but also for overall ownership.

 

The MXFS SI comes with two operating modes can be selected by the user:

  • Normal speed mode, with 1S/s acquisition rate, and
  • High speed mode, with 10S/s acquisition rate

 

QuantumX MXFS allows for the integration of an impressive number of precise and stable optical fiber measurements. FBG sensors are easy to install, electromagnetically safe and can also be used in highly explosive atmospheres. Measurement of strain, temperature, acceleration, load and tilt are all possible. With the integration of MXFS, the accuracy and the possible range of applications for your measurements increase.
