When a resonance is activated, dynamic analysis is required to produce the fluctuating stresses needed for fatigue analysis. In the case of harmonic or random excitations, fatigue analysis can be performed in the frequency domain, which (in this case) will be both faster and more accurate compared to the equivalent time domain fatigue analysis.
