Tips and Tricks for Understanding Vibration Fatigue in nCode DesignLife

When a resonance is activated, dynamic analysis is required to produce the fluctuating stresses needed for fatigue analysis. In the case of harmonic or random excitations, fatigue analysis can be performed in the frequency domain, which (in this case) will be both faster and more accurate compared to the equivalent time domain fatigue analysis.

This 30-minute webinar will review the steps involved in performing basic uniaxial, high cycle, vibration fatigue analysis. The presenter will discuss how vibration fatigue can be adopted for low cycle fatigue or the analysis of welds and composites; as well as tips for using advanced features in nCode DesignLife to better model the physics and get more realistic predictions.
